Ripple Launches Mint Platform for RLUSD Stablecoin, Expands Institutional Access

Ripple launched Ripple Mint on Monday, a platform that lets institutional customers mint, redeem, and manage the RLUSD stablecoin directly from the issuer. The rollout comes alongside a strategic investment in Notabene, a regulated on-chain transaction infrastructure firm, and fresh distribution deals in Japan and Singapore.

What Ripple Mint does

Ripple Mint is built for institutions that need to move RLUSD across blockchains, monitor funds, and plug stablecoin workflows into their own systems. The platform allows direct minting and redemption from Ripple, bridging across supported blockchains, and integration with internal treasury or payment systems. Ripple also introduced new APIs and webhook notifications that let customers automate RLUSD workflows, query transaction status, access balances, and receive real-time updates.

The company said the rollout won't affect existing RLUSD customers.

The Notabene investment

Ripple made a strategic investment in Notabene, a company focused on regulated on-chain transaction infrastructure. The two firms will integrate RLUSD into Notabene Flow, a B2B stablecoin payments platform, and explore trusted payment authorization for Ripple Payments. Notabene's institutional network spans over 2,300 connected institutions across more than 100 jurisdictions, serves over 280 customers, and facilitates over $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume.

Asia push

Ripple partnered with Japan's SBI Holdings to distribute RLUSD through SBI VC Trade starting in Q1 2026. In March, Ripple joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore's BLOOM initiative with Unloq to test RLUSD and the XRP Ledger for programmable cross-border trade settlement.

Broader adoption

RLUSD now has a market capitalization of nearly $1.6 billion. OKX listed the stablecoin to expand global access and liquidity. Mastercard also included RLUSD in its expanded stablecoin settlement program. The combination of exchange listings, payment network inclusion, and institutional infrastructure suggests Ripple is pushing RLUSD beyond its own ecosystem.

Ripple said the new APIs and webhook notifications are available now for institutional clients. The Notabene integration is expected to roll out in phases, with RLUSD flowing into Notabene Flow's B2B payments network. No timeline has been set for the MAS BLOOM pilot results.
