Robinhood Chain has become the blockchain with the most real-world asset (RWA) holders, clocking roughly 330,000. The network, an Ethereum layer 2 that went public mainnet on July 1, 2024, has accumulated $24.12 million in distributed asset value and over $20 million in represented asset value. It hosts around 1,900 tokenized assets and processes $750 million in monthly transfers.
330,000 holders and counting
That holder count puts Robinhood Chain ahead of every other chain for RWA holders, according to on-chain data. Ethereum still dominates in total RWA value with almost $18 billion, followed by BNB Chain and Solana. But Robinhood Chain's focus on regulated financial assets — it allows 24/7 trading of tokenized US equities and ETFs — appears to be drawing a different crowd. The chain was designed specifically for that purpose, using Arbitrum technology to settle transactions on Ethereum.
Meme coins still rule DEX volume
Despite the RWA push, meme coin trading accounts for the majority of decentralized exchange volume on Robinhood Chain, not tokenized assets. That's a reminder that even a chain built for regulated stuff can't escape the retail frenzy. The volume from tokenized assets is growing, but it's not yet the main driver of activity.
Stablecoins climb 22%
Stablecoin market capitalization on Robinhood Chain has grown 22% to nearly $500 million. That's a solid jump, though still a fraction of the stablecoin supply on Ethereum or Tron. The growth suggests more liquidity is flowing into the ecosystem, which could support further RWA issuance and trading.
Built for regulated assets
Robinhood Chain's architecture is tailored for compliance. It supports 24/7 trading of tokenized US equities and ETFs, something most public blockchains don't offer natively. The chain uses Arbitrum's rollup tech to batch transactions and settle them on Ethereum, giving it Ethereum-level security while keeping fees low. That design has attracted issuers looking to put traditional assets on-chain without the regulatory headaches of a permissionless network.
The next question is whether Robinhood Chain can convert its holder lead into a value lead. Ethereum's $18 billion in RWA value is a long way off. But with stablecoin liquidity rising and a pipeline of tokenized products, the chain is positioning itself as the go-to venue for regulated on-chain assets — even if meme coins are still the party.
