Solana Tokenized-Equity Volume Surges to $3.32B, Up 2,400% in a Year

Solana-based tokenized equities have exploded from a niche product to a $3.32 billion monthly market in just one year. The figure, recorded in June 2026, represents a roughly 2,400-fold increase from the $1.34 million seen in June 2025, according to data cited by Bitwise Asset Management CEO Horsley.

The numbers behind the surge

Monthly volume across all tokenized assets on Solana — including commodities, credit, collectibles, and equities — climbed from roughly $156 million in June 2025 to several billion dollars a year later. Equities alone rose from $670 million in April to $3.3 billion in June, an all-time high for the category. In the first half of 2026, tokenized stocks on Solana totaled $4.9 billion, a sixfold jump from the $775 million recorded in the second half of 2025.

Horsley framed the jump as evidence that traditional finance is migrating onchain. He pointed to a report showing Solana processed more than 95% of global cross-chain tokenized stock volume in recent weeks.

Tokenized stocks hit a new high

The milestone came after Securitize listed on the New York Stock Exchange in July and tokenized SpaceX-linked SECZ shares on Solana. The move brought a high-profile real-world asset to the blockchain, further validating the network for institutional use. Grayscale analysts named five altcoins benefiting from tokenization that could gain further if momentum continues, though they did not specify which ones.

Traditional finance moves onchain

Bitwise’s Horsley isn’t the only one betting on Solana as a home for tokenized assets. SBI Holdings partnered with the Solana Foundation to build onchain financial infrastructure for Japan, targeting yen-pegged stablecoins and tokenized assets. The partnership aims to create a regulated framework for issuing and trading digital representations of traditional securities.

SOL, the native token of the Solana network, traded near $76 at press time, down more than 2% over the past day. The price dip comes despite the volume surge, suggesting the market is pricing in broader crypto headwinds rather than network-specific news.

The other side of the boom

Despite the headline numbers, a recent industry report found that roughly half of the broader tokenization market shows no weekly trading activity at all. The finding underscores a gap between the volume leaders — Solana’s tokenized equities being a clear standout — and the long tail of tokenized assets that struggle to attract liquidity. Headline volume figures for tokenization keep climbing, but the report suggests the market remains top-heavy.

The SBI Holdings partnership is expected to move toward implementation in the coming months, with a focus on yen-pegged stablecoins and tokenized assets for the Japanese market. Whether that infrastructure can replicate Solana’s equity volume growth remains an open question.
