Strategy, the Bitcoin treasury company formerly known as MicroStrategy, is rolling out a new employee benefit: annual contributions to Trump Accounts for eligible children of its U.S. workforce. The program will launch after the U.S. Treasury issues final guidance and employer contribution systems become available, the company said this week.
How the benefit works
Under the plan, Strategy will make annual contributions to Trump Accounts — government-sponsored savings accounts for children — on behalf of qualifying employees. The benefit is designed to help families build long-term savings, though the exact contribution amount and eligibility criteria have not yet been disclosed. The company said it will provide more details once the Treasury finalizes the rules and the contribution infrastructure is in place.
Coinbase and Morgan Stanley already in
Strategy joins a small but growing list of employers that have signed up for the Trump Accounts Contribution Program. Coinbase and Morgan Stanley are already participating, signaling that the initiative is gaining traction among both crypto-native and traditional financial firms. The program was established under the Trump administration's savings initiative for children, which allows tax-advantaged contributions.
Timing and next steps
The benefit won't go live until the Treasury Department issues final guidance on employer contributions and the necessary systems are operational. Strategy said it is monitoring the regulatory timeline and will update employees as soon as the program is ready. For now, the company is the latest Bitcoin-focused firm to expand its employee benefits beyond the usual 401(k) matching and stock options.
