US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Pull In $2.98B Over Seven Straight Sessions

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $2.98 billion across seven consecutive trading sessions, pulling the category's net flows for 2026 back into positive territory. The run started Sept. 17 and ended Sept. 25, according to flow data from Farside Investors.

Seven up days in a row is the kind of streak the category hadn't managed in a while. It's also the reason the year-to-date number flipped from red to black.

Seven sessions, no red days

The inflows weren't a single whale print. They built up day after day between Sept. 17 and Sept. 25, with no session in the window finishing negative, per Farside. Cumulatively that's $2.98 billion of net creations across the group.

That consistency is what matters here. One huge day can be a basis trade unwinding or a single allocator moving in. Seven straight days suggests something steadier — orders arriving across multiple issuers rather than one fund carrying the whole tape.

The 2026 scoreboard flips

Before this stretch, the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF complex was running a net outflow for the year. After it, that's no longer true. The Sept. 17–25 stretch was enough on its own to erase the deficit built up earlier in 2026.

Flow data on these products tends to get revised and re-revised, so the exact 2026 total will move around. The direction won't.

What the streak doesn't tell you

Daily net flow figures are a blunt instrument. They net creations against redemptions and report a single number, which means a day with heavy two-way activity can look quiet. A seven-day streak can hide a lot of offsetting trading underneath it.

It also says nothing about who's buying. Farside's data doesn't break out whether the money is coming from registered investment advisers, hedge funds running basis trades, or retail flowing through brokerage windows. Those are very different kinds of demand with very different staying power.

Where the number goes from here

The next daily flow print from Farside will show whether Sept. 26 extended the run to eight sessions or broke it. That single data point matters more than the $2.98 billion headline — streaks like this tend to end the same way they start, quietly, on a day nobody flags in advance.
