Gala Games has introduced two new gameplay systems in its Echoes title: a Tent Placement system and a Hex-Based Resource Gathering system. The company says these features are designed to deepen the player experience and expand the role of the $GALA token within the game.
What the new systems do
The Tent Placement system lets players set up temporary shelters in the game world. These tents can serve as respawn points, storage hubs, or safe zones during exploration. The Hex-Based Resource Gathering system divides the map into hexagonal tiles, each containing specific resources. Players must claim and manage these hexes to collect materials needed for crafting and progression.
Both systems are live now. Gala Games described them as part of a broader effort to make Echoes more strategic and player-driven. The company did not provide a timeline for additional updates but said the features are the latest in a series of improvements.
How $GALA fits in
The new systems are tied directly to the $GALA token. Players can use $GALA to purchase tent upgrades, unlock advanced hex tiles, or speed up resource collection. The company said this integration is meant to give the token real utility inside the game, beyond simple trading or speculation.
Gala Games has been building out its ecosystem of blockchain-based games, and Echoes is one of its flagship titles. The addition of these systems is a clear move to keep players engaged and to demonstrate that $GALA has a functional purpose in the game's economy.
What players can expect now
The Tent Placement and Hex-Based Resource Gathering systems are available immediately. Players who already hold $GALA can start using the token to interact with the new features. Those new to the game can earn $GALA through gameplay or purchase it on exchanges.
Gala Games has not announced any further systems for Echoes in the near term. But the company continues to develop the game, and these two additions mark a significant step in its evolution.
