Why Doubao
Doubao is ByteDance's answer to the wave of generative AI tools that have swept through China's tech sector. For Tesla, the choice comes down to two things: regulation and user experience. Chinese authorities require automakers to keep data onshore and use approved AI services, and a homegrown model like Doubao is built to meet those standards from the ground up.
