Anthropic has released 10 ready-to-run AI agent templates designed to handle time-consuming financial work. The templates target tasks like building pitchbooks and closing books at month-end.
What the templates do
The company said the templates are meant to automate repetitive, data-heavy jobs that finance teams often do manually. Building a pitchbook — a presentation used to pitch deals — involves pulling numbers from multiple sources. Month-end closing requires reconciling accounts and checking reports. The templates aim to cut down on that grunt work.
Anthropic didn't say exactly which industries or firm sizes it's aiming at. But the focus on pitchbooks and month-end close suggests the tools are for investment banks, asset managers, and corporate finance departments.
Ready to run, no custom setup needed
The templates are pre-built, so users don't need to write code or train models from scratch. That lowers the barrier for firms that want to test AI agents but lack deep technical teams. Anthropic already offers a general-purpose AI assistant, Claude, but these templates are specifically tuned for financial workflows.
The release comes as more financial firms look for ways to speed up back-office tasks without adding headcount. Competitors like OpenAI and Google have also pushed into enterprise automation, but Anthropic's bet on pre-packaged agents for finance is narrower.
It's not clear when the templates will be available or if they carry a separate fee. Anthropic's website lists them as part of the company's developer platform.
