Bitget Renews UNICEF Game Changers Coalition Partnership for Second Year

Bitget is doubling down on its education push with UNICEF. The exchange announced this week it's renewing its partnership with UNICEF's Game Changers Coalition (GCC) for a second year, moving beyond blockchain basics into financial literacy and AI modules. The GCC has already reached over 642,000 young people, parents, and teachers across eight countries since its launch.

The first year's footprint

Bitget joined the GCC in June 2025 through a partnership with UNICEF Luxembourg. In that first year, the exchange's CMO Ignacio Aguirre visited Cambodia, and CEO Gracy Chen backed the inaugural global UNICEF Game Jam in late 2025. The coalition operates in Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa — and 52% of its participants are girls.

What's new in year two

The second-year commitment will push the GCC into three additional countries and roll out new curriculum on financial literacy and AI. Blockchain content is also planned for 2026. For a crypto exchange that says it serves over 120 million users and whose wallet has 80 million users, the education angle is a tangible way to build a pipeline, not just a user base.

Crypto education partnerships with big institutions are easy to announce but hard to execute at scale. The GCC numbers — 642,000 reached across eight countries — suggest real reach, not just a press release. Bitget, founded in 2018, is betting that early exposure to blockchain, AI, and financial concepts in classrooms will pay off as those kids grow up. The timing of the renewal, just after the first year's pilot projects wrapped, signals the exchange sees ROI beyond marketing optics.

The next concrete step: curriculum design and country selection for those three new markets. Bitget hasn't named which countries are next, but the existing footprint in Southeast Asia and Africa suggests the expansion could deepen in those regions.
