225,000 ETH Hits Binance in Single Day — Largest Net Inflow in Six Months

A single-day deposit of 225,000 ether into Binance on Monday marked the largest net inflow the exchange has seen in six months, pushing the seven-day moving average of exchange netflow to levels not touched since late 2022. The rush of tokens arrived as Ethereum fell below the $2,150 mark, now trading near $2,110 — roughly 8% off recent highs — and broke under its 100-day moving average.

The deposit and the price move

Volume picked up during the decline, a sign that selling pressure was real rather than passive. The 225,000 ETH figure represents actual tokens moved into the exchange wallet, not just a price blip. While it's impossible to pin the drop entirely on that one transaction, the timing lines up: the inflow and the slide happened in the same session.

Three possible reasons for the move

Large exchange deposits usually fall into one of three buckets: profit-taking, defensive positioning, or collateral deployment for derivatives. With Ethereum still down from its 2026 highs but well above levels from early in the year, any of those could apply. None of them suggest a rush to buy.

The $2,050–$2,100 zone is the immediate test. That band has held as support in recent weeks, but with the 200-day moving average now far overhead and volume pointing to active selling, a break lower opens the door to the $1,900–$2,000 demand region. Traders will be watching whether the Binance inflow slows or reverses in the next 24 to 48 hours — and whether the exchange sees follow-through deposits from other wallets.
