Bybit Revamps Dual Asset With Simulator, Friday VIP Rates for All

Previewing the outcomes

The new simulator lives under "Beginner Mode" in the "Choose Product Plan" flow. Users pick a token, enter an investment amount, and choose a duration. The tool then lays out two possible settlement scenarios side by side — one where the target price is reached, one where it isn't — so an investor can see the range of outcomes before committing funds. There's also a "Match My Assets" filter that surfaces coins tied to what the user already holds, which saves time scrolling through the full list of options.

How the payouts work

Dual Asset is non-principal-protected, so the capital can take a loss. At settlement, though, users earn APR rewards on their principal regardless of whether the target price gets hit. If the target is triggered, the position settles at the preset price and the user collects the APR on top. If it isn't triggered, they get the principal back plus the APR rewards.

The benefit shows up when the target is reached. Say a user sets a target above the current market price — if it's triggered, the position converts at that preset level rather than the market rate, which is where the "buy lower or sell higher" advantage comes from. The trade-off is the risk baked into the non-principal-protected structure.

Fridays for everyone

The upgrade also opens selected VIP-exclusive products to all users every Friday, with enhanced APR rates and no VIP membership required. That's a recurring weekly window, not a one-off promo, and it hands retail users access to rates normally reserved for the exchange's higher-tier clients. The catch is the same as the rest of the product: non-principal-protected means the upside comes with downside exposure.

The interface change

Beyond the simulator, Bybit redesigned the product flow to cut the number of steps between comparing terms and placing an order. Fewer clicks matters on a mobile-first interface, where the difference between a completed trade and a lost one can be a single mis-tap. The redesign is aimed at keeping the mechanics visible while trimming the friction around them.

The Friday window recurs weekly, so there's a regular cadence to test the simulator on. Just remember the structure isn
