Monad Investor $60M Exit Claim Lacks Public Record

Claims that early Monad investors were offered a $60 million cash exit have no public record. As of Aug. 18, no tender notice, official announcement, or amendment to token-sale disclosures exists in Monad's communications, Coinbase's MON sale materials, or major coverage.

The missing offer

The purported exit would have given early backers a chance to cash out before the token's first unlock. But a review of public sources turns up nothing. No notice from Monad, no filing tied to the Coinbase MON sale, and no reputable outlet has reported such a tender.

That matters because a real offer of that size would leave a trail. Project announcements, revised sale terms, or at least a mention in coverage. None of that exists here.

What the sale actually looked like

Monad's public token sale ran Nov. 17–22, 2025. Up to 7.5 billion MON were offered at $0.025 per token, implying a $2.5 billion fully diluted valuation. The initial supply is 100 billion tokens.

The Block's coverage of the Coinbase sale said it "started hot and then fizzled," flagging undersubscription risk and potential sell pressure as supply hit the market. No mention of any investor buyout.

The lock-up and the cliff

About 19.7 billion MON are set aside for investors under a four-year lock-up that began at the token generation event. The terms include a one-year cliff followed by equal monthly unlocks. Until that cliff expires, early investors cannot touch their tokens.

No tender or override of the vesting schedule appears in any public material. The airdrop claim portal, which ran Oct. 14 to Nov. 3, 2025, doesn't change that.

What a real exit would require

For a $60 million offer to be credible, it would need to show up somewhere. Official channels, a disclosure update, or detailed reporting. None of those exist. The absence is itself the story.

Investors looking for a payout will have to wait. The first unlock comes after the one-year cliff from the token generation event, on Nov. 24, 2026.
