WhiteBIT has rolled out two new automated spot trading tools — the Spot Grid Bot and the Martingale (DCA) Bot — as the exchange looks to tap into rising global demand for algorithmic trading strategies. The launch comes at a time when more traders are seeking ways to execute strategies without staring at screens all day.
What the bots do
The Spot Grid Bot places buy and sell orders at preset price intervals, aiming to profit from market swings. The Martingale Bot, also known as a dollar-cost averaging bot, automatically buys more of an asset as its price drops, lowering the average entry cost over time. Both tools are designed for spot markets, meaning they trade actual cryptocurrencies rather than derivatives.
WhiteBIT users can set parameters such as price range, number of grids, and investment amount for the grid bot, or define the buy frequency and total investment for the martingale bot. Once configured, the bots run around the clock without manual intervention.
Growing demand for automation
According to Grand View Research, demand for automated trading tools is growing worldwide. The research firm notes that retail and institutional investors alike are turning to bots to remove emotion from trading and to capture opportunities in volatile markets. WhiteBIT's new offerings are a direct response to that trend.
Automated trading isn't new to crypto — many exchanges have offered similar features for years. But the tools are becoming more sophisticated, and exchanges are competing to attract users with better interfaces and more strategy options. WhiteBIT's move adds two of the most popular bot types to its platform.
Availability and next steps
The Spot Grid Bot and Martingale Bot are now live on WhiteBIT. Users can access them through the exchange's trading interface. No additional software or API setup is required — the bots run directly on the platform.
WhiteBIT has not announced whether it plans to add more bot types or expand the feature to margin or futures markets. For now, the focus is on spot trading automation.
