XRP Slips Toward $1 Support as Selling Pressure Mounts Against BTC

XRP is losing ground against both the dollar and bitcoin, with price action trapped in a descending channel and key moving averages overhead. The token's slide has pushed it closer to a critical support zone at $1–$1.05, and a break below that level would open the door to $0.90.

Descending Channel and Moving Averages

On the XRP/USDT chart, the price has been carving out lower highs and lower lows inside a well-defined downward channel. Both the 100-day and 200-day moving averages sit above the current price, reinforcing the bearish tilt in higher timeframe structure. The relative strength index has dropped toward the lower end of its range without showing any bullish divergence, which suggests downside momentum is still in control.

The $1 Support Zone and What's Below

The immediate question is whether XRP can hold the $1–$1.05 area. That zone has acted as a floor in recent sessions, but it's under sustained pressure. If it gives way, the next major support sits near $0.90. On the upside, any bounce would first face resistance around $1.25, with a broader ceiling near $1.50.

XRP/BTC Breaks a Critical Floor

The picture against bitcoin is even more telling. XRP has broken below horizontal support at 1,700 sats, confirming the downtrend. That level had been a key battleground for months, and losing it has cleared the way for a move toward 1,500 sats. The pair now trades below all major moving averages, with the 100-day average also sitting under the longer-term one — a bearish alignment that rarely flips quickly.

What Would Change the Picture

For the outlook to improve, XRP needs to reclaim 1,700 sats on the BTC pair first, then push through 1,850 sats to signal a real reversal. Until that happens, the path of least resistance remains lower. On the dollar pair, a daily close above $1.25 would be the first sign that sellers are losing their grip, but that's a long way from where the price sits now.

For now, the market is watching whether $1 holds on XRP/USDT and whether the 1,500-sat level on XRP/BTC becomes the next stop. A decisive break of either would likely set the tone for the next leg.
