Bitcoin ETFs Extend Inflow Streak to Five Days as BlackRock

Five straight days for bitcoin ETFs

The Aug. 7 figure marked the fifth consecutive session of net inflows for U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs. Every trading day this week has ended in positive territory for the funds. The $98.85 million daily intake keeps the run alive heading into the final session of the week.

BlackRock's IBIT out front

BlackRock's IBIT captured $479 million in inflows, the largest chunk of the recent intake by a wide margin. The fund has been the dominant player in the spot bitcoin ETF space, and this week's numbers reinforce that standing. IBIT's haul alone dwarfs the daily totals of most of its competitors.

Ether ETFs keep climbing

Spot ether ETFs pulled in $49.60 million on Aug. 7, a fourth straight day of gains. The ether funds have been moving in the same direction as bitcoin — just with smaller numbers. The $49.60 million daily intake is a solid clip for the ether lineup, which has generally run lower daily totals than the bitcoin funds.

The two streaks now run in parallel — five days for bitcoin, four for ether. The next session on Aug. 8 will show whether either run survives the week. After a stretch like this one, the direction of flows is the number that matters.
