The BeInCrypto Institutional 100 program has published a long list of 15 firms competing for the 'Best Onramp and Offramp Solution' category, which tracks companies building regulated infrastructure for moving money between traditional finance and crypto markets. The winner will be crowned at Proof of Talk in Paris on June 2-3, with a shortlist due later this month.
Who made the cut
The 15 companies were picked from an initial pool of more than 30 providers. The full long list includes MoonPay, Stripe Crypto Onramp, Coinbase Onramp, Transak, Ramp Network, Alchemy Pay, Zerohash, Nuvei (Simplex), Mercuryo, Onramper, OSL Group (Banxa), Wert, Striga, Mt Pelerin, and Mercado Pago. Many hold major licenses like NYDFS BitLicenses, OCC charters, or MiCA CASP registrations. Zerohash and Mercado Pago each rejected a reported $2 billion Mastercard offer, according to the program's data.
How they're scored
Judging blends three inputs: quantitative data accounts for 30% of the score, an Expert Council provides 50%, and disclosed company data makes up the remaining 20%. The council weighs seven criteria: country coverage, payment method diversity, regulatory compliance, UX integration, settlement speed, ecosystem integration, and innovation. Data sources include regulators like NYDFS, OCC, FCA, and FINMA, alongside filings from PitchBook, Tracxn, and Crunchbase. The approach aims to reward firms that combine real-world reach with solid compliance — not just volume.
Notable entrants
MoonPay claims 30 million accounts across 180 countries and holds a NYDFS BitLicense and Trust Charter. It also acquired Helio, Iron, and Meso last year and reportedly explored roughly $5 billion in ICE-linked deal talks. Stripe Crypto Onramp serves 75 million Privy accounts and has 1,000-plus developer teams; its Bridge OCC charter was conditionally approved and its trust charter cleared in February 2026. Coinbase Onramp reaches 110 million users across 60-plus fiat currencies and recently launched a headless Apple Pay API plus a zero-fee USDC onramp on Base. Ramp Network, regulated under MiCAR-CASP via Ireland, became fully operational under the framework in January 2026.
The shortlist for 'Best Onramp and Offramp Solution' will be named in May 2026. The category winner will be announced live at Proof of Talk in Paris on June 2-3. BeInCrypto's Institutional 100 program covers 26 categories across six pillars, with this one focused squarely on the firms making fiat-to-crypto pipelines fast, compliant, and global.
