Swapiz, a new crypto swap bot, has launched publicly on Telegram, letting users trade more than 50 cryptocurrencies directly inside the messaging app. The bot requires no KYC verification and holds no user funds, positioning it as a privacy-first option for Telegram's massive user base.
Inside the bot
Swapiz works as a Telegram bot, meaning users can create a wallet, deposit funds, exchange assets, and manage their holdings without ever leaving the chat interface. There's no account sign-up and no email required — just open a chat and start swapping. The bot also offers round-the-clock support via Telegram, which the company says is a key part of its design.
Because it's non-custodial, Swapiz never takes control of user funds. That's a deliberate choice, according to the team, and it fits with the broader trend of crypto users wanting to keep their own keys. The bot also uses secure data encryption, though the company hasn't detailed exactly how that works in practice.
Why Telegram
Telegram has more than 1 billion monthly active users, and it's become a preferred channel for crypto swap platforms. The app's combination of group chats, channels, and bots makes it a natural home for quick trades. Swapiz is betting that a frictionless, no-KYC experience will draw users who are tired of exchange sign-up flows and withdrawal delays.
Privacy is a big part of the pitch. Without an account or email, there's less personal data floating around. That's a selling point for a segment of the crypto crowd, even as regulators push for more identity checks elsewhere.
Speed and security
Swaps on Swapiz currently take between 2 and 15 minutes, depending on network conditions. The company says it expects that to drop to under two minutes within a few months. That's still slower than a centralized exchange's instant fill, but for a bot that runs inside a messaging app, it's not bad.
The non-custodial model means users are responsible for their own private keys, which is both a feature and a risk. Swapiz says it encrypts data, but the real security test will come when the bot handles a meaningful volume of trades.
Faster swaps on the way
The public launch is just the start. Swapiz CTO Michael Rodriguez is leading the technical side, and the team is already working on reducing swap times. The goal is to get under two minutes, which would make the bot competitive with many web-based swap services.
For now, the bot is live and accepting users. Whether it can carve out a niche in the crowded Telegram swap space will depend on execution — and on how quickly it can deliver on that speed promise.
