Powerloom shuts down July 21, users have hours to bridge assets

The 24-hour deadline

The bridge only covers balances already available for transfer on Powerloom. That means reward claims, unstaking, and node closures ended when mint.powerloom.network went offline at 6:00 AM UTC on July 16. Anyone who hasn't initiated a transfer by now can still move assets that are already in a transferable state — but only until the deadline.

After 6:00 AM UTC on July 21, the Powerloom chain will stop producing blocks. Contracts and state become inaccessible. The Arbitrum-based bridge ceases functioning. The Ethereum-held POWER ERC-20 contract at 0x429F0d8233e517f9acf6F0C8293BF35804063a83 is immutable and will remain accessible on Ethereum, but that doesn't help users who still have assets stuck on Powerloom.

What's lost

Unclaimed rewards, staked POWER, or node-slot funds that depended on dashboard workflows cannot be recovered. The founders made clear that these are gone. The window to unstake or claim rewards closed on July 16. For users who missed that, there's no second chance.

Why Powerloom is shutting down

Powerloom had built a decentralized sequencer-validator network, a BDS data market, snapshotter, validator, and developer-facing infrastructure. But the founders said the project couldn't find a sustainable operating model. Ecosystem demand wasn't there. Resources ran out.

The wind-down was announced on June 15, giving users about five weeks to exit. That's more notice than some projects give, but the July 16 cutoff for reward claims caught some users off guard.
