Caversaccio is known in Ethereum circles for two things: co-founding SEAL 911, a group that helps projects recover from hacks, and writing 'The Ethereum Cypherpunk Manifesto' in 2024, with a follow-up last year. He was also part of the Silviculture Society, an informal advisory group. His background is in rapid incident response, not governance — which makes the board pick notable.

The Ethereum Foundation board sets the long-term vision for the network and ensures management aligns with its values. It's not a day-to-day operational role. Caversaccio's term is one year, unpaid and voluntary, matching the other members.
