Restaking ties together stakers, operators, actively validated services (AVSs), slashing rules, and withdrawal paths. That web of obligations makes a simple exit more complicated than it sounds. Without a clear, irreversible off-ramp, a restaker who thinks they've left could still be on the hook for slashing events.
